Tara Reid Says Yes to Getting Engaged

Bye-bye, Miss American Pie. And hello Mrs. American Pie!

Tara Reid got engaged Monday to boyfriend Michael Axtmann after he popped the question at a Los Angeles restaurant, her rep confirms to E! News.

The couple were dining at the Little Door when “Michael surprised Tara with a beautiful round brilliant cut ring,” her rep tells People. “Tara was so happy, and the other patrons clapped and yelled out, ‘Congratulations.’”

Sounds like a fairytale beginning for the betrothed couple.

(And it’s also a happy ending for the Awful Truth, which was concerned that this was Reid’s engagement ring.)

Reid, who’s currently strutting her retooled stuff on the January-February cover of Playboy, was engaged to Carson Daly nearly 10 years ago, but this will be her first trip down the aisle.

Tara Reid is still around and posing on the January/February cover of Playboy.
Quick Tara Reid recap (it’s been a while, we know): She starred in American Pie, The Big Lebowski and Van Wilder before becoming most well known for her botched plastic surgery, partying and that one time her boob completely fell out of her dress.
But now she’s trying to stage a little comeback, the first step of which appears to be telling the world her plastic surgery is all fixed and ready for viewing. What better way to accomplish that than posing topless for Playboy? Here, we’ll let the the 34-year-old out-of-work actress explain:
“I got it fixed and now I’m OK and I want people to know I’m OK,” she told New York’s WPIX. “I’ve had it done for the last five or six years, but people only want to show the old pictures. It’s so unfair. That’s part of the reason why I did Playboy, to show people, ‘Right, look at me. This is how I look now.’ “

Tara Reid was lunching with her girlfriends in Miami the other day and just happened to use her hands, all animatedly and such. And there appeared to be a pink dog turd surrounded by rhinestones on her ring finger.
Perhaps the first question should be: Would you say “yes” to anyone who proposed with that gaudy-awful thing?
Although we’re skeptical that it is indeed an engagement ring, we put in calls to Tara’s reps—but have yet to hear back. Supposedly some posh lunchers behind Reid overheard the once-doable blonde talking about her supposed engagement to billionaire boyfriend Michael Axtmann.
We’re chalking this one up to Tara dying for a wee bit of publicity. And looks like we’re giving it to her, so the joke’s on us.
